Primary Purpose:
Develop a student-centered, robust, and competitive girls' basketball program. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.
- Assignment is for the 2025-2026 school year as head girls' basketball coach and teacher.
- Applicant must hold at least a bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject/level assigned
- With coaching, the applicant must have or be able to obtain Class B CDL driver's license and be First Aid/CPR/AED certified
- Applicant will receive salary plus a stipend for each sport coached
- Housing may be offered with coaching
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned.
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned.
Will consider applicants with a degree and enrolled in a core subject certification program.
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned.
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in core academic subjects
Experience:
Minimum one year student teaching or approved internship.
Experience and/or certification in secondary English or Science preferred, but not required.
